The Specialized Rock Hopper is great bike for the money. It is lightweight and has a very strong frame, has a smooth ride, is great for climbing up hills, and handles well.
Some of the components could be a little bit better, but better components mean higher prices, and the Specialized Rock Hopper is well priced considering the quality you get. Depending on the year you get, you may want to upgrade is the front suspension and tires. Some riders report problems with the disc brakes, but overall, the Specialized Rock Hopper is a great value and fun to ride.
Specialized Rock Hoppers are best suited for beginner riders, but intermediate and more advanced riders may want something a little more durable and with more of an edge.
